Charlie’s plot is a planting and growing project for young people aged 10-18 years. Run by the young people themselves, the project is working to develop a growing space within the Community Learning Garden development in Methilhill to investigate climate change and the impact of growing your own produce.
The project has been developing well and is now in it’s fourth year as a local youth group. Members of the group have attended multiple events and recently featured in a video made in connection with Zero Waste Scotland encouraging people to donate old musical instruments for children to use. A video highlighting the work of the group can be accessed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AdSmMMbuCe8
Charlie’s Plot were also runner up in the Young Scot Awards 2015. A video created by Young Scot can be accessed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuuIYCf7vo8
